Deniliquin Solar Farm

 Providing energy that is

Renewable

Reliable &

Affordable

Located approximately 9km east of the Deniliquin township, the proposed Deniliquin Solar Farm by CleanPeak Energy is currently under development. The project aims to develop a 4.95MW photovoltaic electricity generating system which would comprise over 12,000 solar panels, ground-mounted on single axis tracking arrays to follow the daily east-west movement of the sun.

The solar farm is to be built on just 16.5 hectares of land, and has been designed to protect the environmental aspects of the site, minimise the removal of native vegetation and avoid areas of cultural sensitivity.

Project Highlights

Benefits

For Deniliquin

CleanPeak works with local subcontractors and suppliers wherever possible, and have set up a Community Benefits Fund to support local projects, events, and initiatives in Deniliquin across the life of the solar farm.

For the Climate

Once fully operational, the Deniliquin Solar Farm is expected to offset close to 7,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year, equivalent to powering around 1,400 Australian homes .

For the Land

The site has been carefully placed to protect environmental values, minimise native vegetation removal and respect areas of cultural sensitivity, with our Net Positive Biodiversity Action Plan, guiding  how the land is enhanced over time.

Location

The Deniliquin Solar Farm is located in Deniliquin, in New South Wales.

The site is well positioned to deliver renewable energy into the surrounding distribution network, while being carefully designed to protect native vegetation and respect areas of cultural sensitivity.

With strong solar exposure across the region, New South Wales is well placed to support reliable large-scale solar generation.
